HELIOS Young Researchers and Innovators Coordinator: Dr Eleni Gavriilaki

Dr Gavriilaki has trained and specialized at the Hematology Department – BMT Unit of G Papanicolaou Hospital. Her clinical and translational research focused on complement-related diseases, with a special interest in thrombotic microangiopathies. Her work led to multiple national and international presentations, esteemed awards and grants, as well as publications in renowned journals. She now serves as an Assistant Professor of Hematology. She is an active advocate of early career scientists and physicians, with her participation in EHA, ASH and the current Cost Action HELIOS.
