Inspiring Experience at the COST Academy – Young Researcher Training (2–3 September 2025)

We are delighted to share that our Grant Holder Manager. Dr Sotiroula Chatzimatthaiou attended the COST Academy – Young Researcher Training, held on 2–3 September 2025. The event brought together a vibrant community of young researchers and innovators from different COST Actions, creating an inspiring space for learning, networking, and collaboration.

Building Connections Across COST Actions

One of the highlights of the meeting was the opportunity to connect with fellow participants from diverse backgrounds and research areas. Through open discussions and shared experiences, we explored how to make the most of our participation in COST Actions, strengthen our professional networks, and create opportunities for future collaboration.

Training to Grow Professionally and Personally

The second day focused on a particularly insightful training session that encouraged participants to reflect on their personal strengths and character traits. The session provided valuable guidance on:

  • Leveraging strong features of our character to succeed in our chosen profession.

  • Using the resources and opportunities of COST Actions to grow professionally.

  • Identifying areas for personal development and learning how to address them through peer discussions and collaboration.

Key Takeaway

This training was not only about professional development but also about personal growth. By recognizing our strengths and working on our challenges, we can fully benefit from the opportunities that COST Actions provide, both for individual careers and for the broader research community.

We look forward to applying the insights gained during this event and to continuing our active engagement within HELIOS and COST Action.
