The seventh speaker in the webinar series is Prof. Siana Nkyas, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Muhimbili University.

Dr. Siana Watoky Nkya is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She also serves as the Coordinator of the Office of Sponsored Projects and Head of the MUHAS Genetics Laboratory. Dr. Nkya has over 15 years of research experience in molecular biology and human genetics, focusing on disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment through advanced genomics. She co-founded the Tanzania Human Genetics Organisation (THGO) and currently serves as its first President.
