Anoeska Schipper is a PhD candidate at Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, conducting research at the Imaging Department and the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (DIAG). Her work integrates artificial intelligence and natural language processing to enhance early diagnostic decision-making using routine test results. In her first study, she developed a machine learning model that automatically detects a broad range of hemoglobinopathies using routine blood counts from eight laboratories in the Netherlands and Spain. This model is now being implemented in laboratory information system. Before her PhD, she spent 7.5 years at Deloitte in IT forensics, developing AI-based tools for text classification and anomaly detection. This combination of research and industry experience positions Anoeska at the cutting edge of AI-driven diagnostic support.
