Dr. David Williams is an internationally renowned researcher specializing in blood stem cell biology, leukemia, and gene therapy for genetic blood disorders. He serves as the Leland Fikes Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Williams' laboratory has been continuously funded by the NIH since 1986, reflecting his significant contributions to medical research. Throughout his career, he has mentored over 40 post-doctoral fellows, many of whom have established their own laboratories or joined the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
